From the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, the Atlas "provides the geographic and quantitative dimensions of urban expansion and its key attributes in cities the world over." Contains land cover maps, built-up area maps and metrics of 30 global cities from 1800-2000, urban, national and regional data tables, and a Google Earth platform of urban clusters global map and data for 4,231 named large cities and metropolitan areas. Features a global sample of 200 cities, representing the universe of all 4,231 cities and metropolitan areas that had 100,000 people or more in 2010.
