"The Opportunity Index focuses on the conditions present in different communities and is designed to help local communities connect economic, academic, civic, and other factors together to identify concrete solutions to lagging conditions for opportunity and economic mobility." The sixteen factors comprising the measure include employment, income, education, volunteerism, and access to healthy food and health care.  Available for states and counties from 2011.
