Use the IEA's World Energy Statistics and Balances Database which is available through our IEA subscription.

Also see Global Energy Relations Dataset (GERD) 1978-2014. Offers yearly energy flow/trade data for all country-pairs globally, 1978-2014. Compiled from major international agencies (IEA, UN Comtrade, US Energy Information Agency, CEDIGAZ, World Bank), data are standardized to report energy in megajoules and provide by directed-dyadic (exporter-importer) and monadic (country-only trade balances) format. The data are further broken down by energy type (coal, oil, natural gas, and electricity) whenever possible.
