DealScan has data on the global commercial loan market. Compustat has financial data on companies. Often those using DealScan would like to link to the financial data in Compustat.

The DealScan Compustat links are available through WRDS.  Once in WRDS search for DealScan and select "DealScan Lender Link Tables" or "Roberts Dealscan-Compustat Linking Database" The Roberts database is only for Compustat and the other one also links to Bankscope.

If using these database, follow directions and cite sources correctly.

Use the Roberts Dealscan-Compustat Linking Database. For info on how the linking table was created, see Chava, Sudheer, and Michael R. Roberts, 2008, How Does Financing Impact Investment? The Role of Debt Covenants, Journal of Finance 63, 2085-2121.
