Marquand Library is temporarily operating out of two reading rooms on the C Floor of Firestone likely through Spring 2025. The Scribner Atrium reading room is down the hall from Special Collections, and to the left is the West Atrium reading room. The former is meant for all books on hold, and those owned by Columbia (i.e. Avery Library) and the Harvard Fine Arts Library; the latter includes course reserves (you will need a call number to access), along with assigned Study Shelves, a handful of current journal issues, and some reference books. All books must be requested in advance via the library catalog minus items with an ASK STAFF designation: please write to us about those. Rare books must be requested via the library catalog and are serviced out of Special Collections; larger vols. (i.e. some folios and all elephant folios) are off-site. Email marquand@princeton.edu with further questions.
